Joined Netflix.com using my e-mail address and zpassword
I use this e-mail service: netaddress.com
Discussed several things with Jim Burlis:
website management/content: bulletin board software

cable modem vs. DSL: broadband speed tests

personal web space: Yahoo/SBC has 760 MB, but soon to be only 110 MB for briefcase; unlimited for photos. Charter has 10 MB. Apple's .mac has 100 MB.

domain names and redirection -- about $40 for the name, what about redirection service? Is there a Dummies book or similar website for this?

Discussion with Susan Bennett of AIM included plans for AIM website, along with e-mail. She will more seriously consider this over the winter break (which is from 12/21 - 1/4)
Discussion with Pastor Yancey today included logistics for December Center Celebration (12/7) at Bethel as well as production of the bulletin for that service.

The January Center Celebration theme will be Epiphany.
The February theme may be mission / healing.

It's always exciting to try something new, especially something that holds much promise. Blogs are an effective way of collecting/organizing/sharing thoughts -- and the potential of being able to do so via the Internet -- that is, platform-independent -- is encouraging for someone like me who uses a Mac at home and a PC at work.

I'm especially interested to see if groups can jointly manage a single blog, to aid in group communication.

Another thing I'm interested in is managing multiple personal blogs, some private for just my own use, and others that are meant to be shared with anyone/everyone.
